P90X Round 2 Day 81....9 days to go!


I am so excited that Amy has lent me her 15lb Hex weights since she is pregnant. Thanks Amy!

I am so going to get my MUSCLETUDE on for March, watch out I am upping my game and my weights, increasing my runs.

Just 9 more workouts, I am on FIRE! I was sad about my stats today, I am going to re-take them in the morning. I did not have time this morning and as a matter of fact, worked out a bit too long. I love plyo!

My favorite is the football move, wide tires up and high knees back. Ok, so maybe you have to be there to get it. La la la........9 days to go!

Get Your Mind RIGHT, P90X Day 78


P90X Day 78 Round 2 Kenpo RAWKED it!

I got this from my friend Eric and wanted to share it, he sent it to the P90X "Bring it Team". I duno where he got it, sorry if its not the right credit.

This is why it is so important to be around others that are helping you keep your mind "right" and why I think you should have a vision board and listen to things that inspire you.

Your mind has two components: The conscious and the subconscious.

The conscious mind is the rational, logical, analytical, thinking part of the mind.

The conscious mind is constantly taking in information from the five senses, then it reasons, analyzes and comes to conclusions about whether the input is true or false. The subconscious is the part of the mind responsible for storing data (memory), for automatic behavior (habits), reflexes and autonomic functions of the body such as digestion, breathing and circulation.

It’s important to understand that unlike the conscious mind, the subconscious mind does not “think.” It is entirely deductive in nature, which means it works like a computer. All the data programmed into your subconscious “computer” is accepted and assumed to be true.

It doesn’t matter whether the data is actually true or false. The subconscious unquestioningly accepts everything that reaches it. It then carries out the programming you have entered into it.
Another way to penetrate the subconscious (although much slower) is through repetition. Everything you hear, see, say, read or think repeatedly will eventually filter into your subconscious mind.

In other words, you are constantly programming your brain through conscious self-suggestion – or you are allowing your brain to be programmed through external suggestion.

So true!

Class last night was kickboxing and I taught a new routine, that was a bit tough for the class. I did combos of 4 but it was challenging but everyone did a great job and worked up a sweat!

If you are doing P90X (or thinking about it) you may have seen the ad on page 69 a FULL PAGE AD on P90X! and that Oxygen is supporting the program with a link. It also states money back, now thats when you have HIT THE BIG TIMES! I wonder if Tony Horton will still have time to blog?

P90X Day 77, with a 1 Day Setback!


With less then 2 weeks to go, going out of town put me 1 day behind on my P90X program. Good news, my taxes are DONE!

How did I do this weekend at the fat farm? (that is what I lovingly call my mom's house because she is a chocoholic) Lets reflect......

Taxes Done! (mailed off today woo woo)

P90X Day 76 Round 2


Would this be super-duper awesome to do this pose or WHAT?

I have a picture of me in Daytona standing like this with the palm trees in a row but this just RAWKS! I can't even get through the whole 1 and 1/2hrs of P90X yoga, let alone attempt this but I can dream right?

Today, Yoga and just 14 More days to go round 2 will be done!

This week, my diet has been too high in fat and my body stats show that. I had some ice cream. Oh and a cookie too....Ugh. Then this weekend I will be at mom's, the FAT FARM! I have to pack my protein and a "cattle prod" so that I don't touch any of her candy and treats. Yup, she's a chocoholic!

No smoothie today (your safe Mary, and you only have a few more weeks and you can go back to having yours :-) so I am NOT going to tempt you today lol)

I actually had a 1/2 Mcmuffin that a vendor brought and the microwave at work is broke! I ate the egg white, and cheese and part of the muffin. I must admit it was the WORST breakfast I ever had. (I should have drank my protein too before I left the house)

Fast fun and you really feel them, I have had this for years and got it at a Big Lots for $5. It also includes arms and some other workouts, and a GREAT 8 minute stretch.

It's a bit old school 1995, but I still go back to this when I want a fast good workout or stretch.

30 Minute Circuit


Here is what I taught at my class last night, and we did this to my Zumba music. Fun and fast 150 calorie burn!

Here are my moves we did, everyone is getting really good at wall squats! Thanks Jan for calling me JM last night, it made my day *giggle. I also added an EXTRA 15 seconds to the plank move, great job team!

30 Minute circuit w/body strength training

1 Minute cardio intervals followed by
30 second body strength training recovery

Warm up:
Glute kicks, arms lower, upper and side
Shoulder rolls forward and back
Neck rolls right, left and down w/arms pushed outward

Cardio Moves:
Shuffle shoot the baskets

Happy Valentines Day!

Sorry to say, I have a cold *sigh, and did not do my workout today.

I was on for today's workout of Back and Biceps, and I can not even imagine doing that workout. I did however manage to get to bed last night at 8.30pm, have hot green tea, and get some Tylenol cold medicine.

Stats this week SUCK!

Considering I was good, had salads with chicken and my sugar free jello, it just was NOT enough to stay in or below the 22% mark.

Good grief I have got to get my head in the GAME again.

Can I blame this on winter, lack of sunshine and my love for sugar *wink wink, maybe. New plan, get the bikini out and hang it in the gym!

Really at this rate I will never ever make competing again at 50, unless I can wrap my head around diet now. We all know you can never do enough workouts to ward off bad diet habits. And its not like I love a bunch of junk...Lays chips and chocolate. *sigh, yeah right T.

So this morning I had my revised smoothie, added the coffee as I said I would... and yes taste like a nice smooth cinnamon dolce latte:

1 scoop Whey Vanilla ice cream
1/2 banana
1 cup vanilla soy (silk)
1 cup cold coffee
1 tbs cinnamon

Took my Tylenol pills and headed to the office.....Happy Valentines Day!

P90X Day 74 PLYO!


Today I Rocked out another great plyo workout! It is one of my favorite workouts, I love, love, love jump training. You would think with bad knees I would hate it, but its the POWER of the jump I love. (Horton's got nothing on me lol)


Remember when you were little and you did all kinds of jumping, like hop scotch or jump rope? I know, I'm dating my ole self. You thinking what the heck, its the electronic age now, no jumping taking place. Sad, just sad.

Frosty Caused Me To Miss My Workout...*sigh!


Frosty caused my to miss my workout today!


Yup we ended up with about 4-6" in STL which is not as bad as some areas but I had to get up early, and miss my workout! Today was shoulders and arms and I like that workout, so the goal is after work. Tony Horton and I have a date prior to Biggest loser.

Workout so far - ZERO!

Thank goodness the snow held off and I got in class last night, with 6 students. Well that was fine by me, I was glad so many showed up.....really I was doubting with the forcast.

P90X Only 19 Days Left!



With only 19 more workouts I am getting pumped up!!! Kicking Tony Horton to the curb 2 x is going to make T. a very happy person. (I forgot to post this on Friday)

*Note today is Monday, the day after super bowl. We have snow, I did not do my morning workout of P90X. I am teaching Kickboxing and Power Yoga class tonight for my workout. I was Off on Sunday and did Stretch (like a good girly).

Fridays post 2/5:
Woo woo, I am off work again today, I am getting ready to workout and I feel great.

Good new is the MINI dealer gave me $60 off my service and my doctor is waiving my next $50 visit co-pay, all praise to GOD! Oh, how did I get the money discounts.......I asked! As God says, ask and you shall receive. Its been a very tight $ month, and prayer is the answer to my saving $110.

Bring on the salads!


This is a salad with chicken, craisens, and cheese I made drizzled with ranch dressing.

I love making salads look "presentable". I am a mad woman over how the food is presented, really. It's like decorating a room to me, only with food its cheaper. Ta-dah!

Thank you all for the NO sugar support, I am still working on it!

Today is my real off day, and I am only doing my OMY and stretch. Rest, recover and GROW muscles, grow.

19 days left to go on P90X!


With only 19 more workouts I am getting pumped up!!! Kicking Tony Horton to the curb 2 x is going to make T. a very happy person.

Woo woo, I am off work again today, I am getting ready to workout and I feel great.

Good new is the MINI dealer gave me $60 off my service and my doctor is waiving my next $50 visit co-pay, all praise to GOD! Oh, how did I get the money discounts.......I asked! As God says, ask and you shall receive. Its been a very tight $ month, and prayer is the answer to my saving $110.

Thank goodness just 21 Days left of round 2 P90X classic!

Where does the time go? Well when it comes to Tony Horton not moving very fast because he likes to torcher you! In a good way of course but still. I have decided to continue my love/hate him even if he has my same initials. TH

Yesterday I cranked it up and got out the big weights and was not sure how I would feel today......but........ROCKSTAR is the feeling I got this morning as I crawled out of bed ON the first alarm ringy-dingy! GO T. bonus workout points.

Not my favorite, but the much needed, and very good Yoga X was on the plan for the day...... so I got out my "Yoga Paws" and got on my YOGA-TUDE!

As a rule, I never ever work my biceps. Never do/did because I do so many other concentrated moves that involve them I just don't do it. I love my shoulders and the strength I already have in them, however I could get them "buff" if I wanted to since I build easy and fast. Nope I would rather have nice glutes and spend the time there, round is very good there no?

Day 1 no sugar completed!

I loved..loved...loved this workout, its strong & FIERCE......I RAWKED it out!
I even broke out the 25lb DB and cranked up the pullups, I was TOTALLY in the mood to rrrrrumble with some muscletude!

The perfect post workout smoothie and why


The perfect post workout smoothie and why:

Green Monster:
1 scoop whey protein (I use vanilla ice cream flavor 100% gold standard)
1/2 cup steamed spinach (microwave for 30-45 sec)
1 tsp flax oil
1- 1 1/2 cup green tea (cold)

Heres why its so good for you:

Protein - builds muscle by “repairing” torn fibers following a vigorous workout, protein is crucial.

Spinach - two-fold power, spinach is also an ideal pre-workout food as it boosts strength with phytoecdysteroids (a natural plant steroid) Spinach is ideal for post-workouts as these same plant steroids have been shown to increase muscle growth by a whopping 20%!

Flaxseed - the omega 3s in flaxseeds could help to reduce inflammation, beneficial in muscle recovery. Flaxseeds also promote fullness and might very well curb your midnight cravings. P90X Day 67..its FIERCE February!


Its Fierce February!

I am going to kick it up a notch and get some GREAT results this month! Have to! Point blank! NO excuses! I am going to have to be very mindful of my diet this month! NO cheats, so the goal is kick the sugar to the curb. Yes that darn cellulite forming fabulous sugar has got to become my enemy! Uggg....note all the exclamation points? Im holding at 22.3% body fat, which is because of diet.

Today my legs were hurting and I can feel the results of my Rockstar weekend workouts. I teach Kickboxing class tonight, but I will still count today as my off day.
