Eats, Treat...Welcome Fall!

I made some yummy french toast, and topped it with some fresh strawberries!

It was a nice Sunday breakfast treat, and easy to make. Normally I would have topped this with honey and peanut butter but yesterday I had a craving for some syrup, so syrup it was!

Since returning from Maui I have been wanting to make the lemonade they make there at the 4 Seasons Maui that has ginger and mint in it.
I will know how it taste tonight, you have to let it sit 24 hours.
*Insert jump up and down here ;-)

It is officially Fall!!! And that means starting crafts........I found this wonderful idea on Pintrest and ordered the goodies to try to make them. I only have a few made, as I need to get other paper patterns for the rest of them for a nice variety.
Tonight I add the link and chain.
*I can't wait to see the finished product!

On to decorating!!!
I just looooove Halloween, and decided what the heck my friend Cindy has her stuff up so why not me? I decide last night while watching the Emmy's that I would decorate.
Here is a sneak peek at my kitchen area...........
Cute huh?

The scoop on workouts:
Saturday trained a client then taught 1 hour Yoga, and on Sunday I took a 3 mile walk.

CRUSH Cycle Studio opens in STL!

How cool is this???
Check this place out:
http://www.examiner.com/article/crush-cycle-studio-opens-st-louis?cid=db_articles

I saw these bikes about 8 years ago or so at a Fitness convention, and rode one. It ROCKS! I loved the fact that you would never get bored, and you stay challenged. Its amazing that someone actually decided to open a full studio of just this type of workout.

As a matter of fact I was just thinking how we don't have anything like this in STL, and that I think it would be great for riders and fitness fanatics like me to take our cardio to the next level.

If your in the area this is one place you need to check out :-)

This and That

This is really just about this and that, workouts, shopping and hair. So I went to Yoga at the studio last night with the new trainer, love her! She was great, and added lots of core so I was very happy about that. The run, never happened.

I'm so glad its fall, and I can break out my fall attire........sweeeeet and shiny!

Then I got to have this NON fat sugar free pie. Made with sugar free pie pudding (thanks Jello), granola crust and sugar free syrup and non fat whip = 1/2 the cals and fat of a real pie!

On to the house............it needs a fall lift too! Check out the new pillows I got!

Super fun colors and large enough to flip over and lay on :-)

I got this 8 piece set at Bed Bath and Beyond, with a $5 off coupon and 2 more pillows from Stein Mart (addicted to that place) I'm thinking of making this my bedroom art for winter to match the grey down comforter I have. Hum, but it kinds breaks my "Financial Boot camp" I have been on since July 15th.
Total bill would be $150 (4 pillow and 8 piece art set)

Ha, I found this old photo of me in my moms pictures........it was taken in 1996. I can't believe time has gone by so fast.
Do I miss my long hair, some days YES but really NO! I love having short, sassy hair it kinds matches my personality!

Workouts this week:
Monday - with Client body weight training
Tuesday - walk at the park
Wednesday - shopping mall walking
Thursday - Yoga
Friday - shopping mall walking

Be blessed!

Outdoor Weekend About Town

It was so nice in STL that I decided to spend the weekend outdoors in my fine city. On Saturday I went to the Central West End we call the CWE and had a nice time walking, and looking at the HUGE homes. I decided I worked up a hunger, and stopped at The Cup.
I had the Red Velvet cupcake = yum.

They make FABULOUS cupcakes! Since I never have been there because of the Godiva shop, I decided on a cup of coffee and a cup cake. And then, a few to take home to try. This is the Smores, Lemon and Mocha Java which was my favorite.

Sunday I went to Clayton to the annual art fair. Its always amazing to see the artist, talk with them and try some of the local eateries. I had the Tenderloin sandwich, lean and tasty, topped off with a water to make up for the cupcake I had lol.

My feet actually hurt by the time I got home, I had done so much walking on both days. Its not a real workout but I still felt like I did something good for myself. Besides, I taught Yoga Saturday morning for an hour which I am definitely counting as a workout!

Amazing DOD Fitness Products

Image: dodfitness.com

Do you have bad knees? This product is amazing, and it may be something that might be of interest to you.

These new fitness tools recently released to the market make it easier for people with problem knees, wrists and necks to do moves that were almost impossible for them before. The Knee Donuts, Wrist Wedges and Neck Circles provide the support, stability and comfort needed for those who have trouble putting weight on their wrists and knees and/or need support for their neck.

Gretchen Zelek is a business woman and a fitness enthusiast who saw a need and filled it with these 3 products.

The Knee Donut can prevent, reduce, or eliminate knee pain while in a weight bearing position. Unlike other knee cushions, the donut shape prevents the patella (kneecap) from ever touching the floor. Not only are they perfect to help with any exercises done on the knees, they are also great tools for gardening. The Knee Donut is safe for those who have had knee replacement surgery.

The Wrist Wedge was ergonomically designed to reduce stress and pain during weight bearing exercises like push-ups and planks. The entire hand rests on the non-slip wedge with the fingers on the downward slope. The angle of the Wrist Wedge reduces the degree of wrist extension; this decreases the pressure on the wrist.

The Neck Circle was invented for anyone who feels neck tension during or after exercise. The Neck Circle keeps the head in a neutral position creating proper alignment. When placed under the base of the head the height provides cushion and support thus creating a biomechanically optimal position.

Check out the benefits:
All of the DOD Fitness products are made in the USA. Their specially designed foam is covered in a waterproof, sweat-proof and bleach-proof coating. The foam is made to a specific density to provide support and cushioning. They are extremely lightweight and easy to take to a class or gym. The products are appropriate for anyone to use at home or in a workout studio. Personal trainers, physical therapists, yoga and Pilates teachers will be able to help their clients further their fitness goals.

The Knee Donuts and Wrist Wedges are sold as a pair for $19.99 for each pair. The Neck Circle is $9.99. A complete set of all three products in a handy tote bag is $44.99. They are available at www.dodfitness.com.

Labor Day!

I got my haircut from my sister over the holiday. Love. It.
(sorry I am wearing no make up.....)

This is how it looked before, and with my sister. Love. Her.

So I got all "Beautified" and now I can save money on shampoo since I don't have any hair left ha ha.

We played Scrabble and I got the bonus points for using all my tiles. Go. T.!

We saw the full moon the night after the "Blue Moon" which we could not see in STL because of the storms.

She had this spider in her garden, she says they "write" in their web......weird!

We went walking..........and did it 2 days in a row, Go Sis!

I stopped did push ups

And runs

And more push ups.......sissy decided to take advantage of this moment with a rest on the bench.

Then we played in the water park, way fun!

Just what I needed after a long hot walk.

And after all those games, and walks we had a treat......Ice cream, with coffee and Kahlua topped with caramel sauce, YUMMO!

Now its back to work, but I had a nice little mini vacation.
Blessing!
