Extreme 90 Day 6

2011 Nissan Juke SL Pearl White with the Sports Package and heated leather seats.

This is the exact look of my car, and its just super cute :-)

I took some pictures but have not had time to load them up so I will add them to this blog later this week. (I know time gets away from me)

I have only drove it 1 day so far on Saturday! Since we have had rain/snow I have to get used to the Juke before I take it out in bad weather. I know I am being a "scardy cat", but I just don't trust other drivers really in bad weather and have NO idea how this one will react in it.

Also since its 12" bigger then the MINI Cooper I have to learn how to back it up in my parking spot so I need to leave for work earlier then I have been. Something about winter, it makes it harder for me to get up at 5.30am.

Is anyone else in hibernation mode during winter???

On another note, I made 8 Yoga Mat bags to sell at the Yoga studio and I will be posting pictures of those as well. I think they turned out really great I just have to get a new draw string for them because what I bought was too big for the closers. *sigh

What would you pay for a homemade Yoga mat bag?

Extreme 90 Day 6 today....tonight plus client. After the first week I will post my thoughts but so far I really like it!

Don't Complicate It!

I really like this latest newsletter from Steve owner of Fitness and More
www.fitnessandmore.net

The main reason that you're not happy with your weight is because of what you eat.

It's hardly your fault.

Have you ever stopped to notice how many times you're bombarded by food marketing each day?

Ads come at you from magazine pages, T.V. commercials, on websites and billboards, each boasting of cheap, convenient and tasty ways to cure your hunger.

The question "What's for dinner?" has never been more complex than now.

Extensive menu options and large entrees have distorted your concept of a proper meal, and before you know it you've fallen into the trap of the chain restaurant, the drive thru, and the take-out line.

But wait – truly healthy eating is simple.

First you need to block out the blizzard of food marketing around you.

Remember that advertisers want your money, and they don't stop to consider if the food they promote will expand your waist – that's your job.

It's safe to say that, with few exceptions, any food that you see marketed should be avoided. When was the last time you saw an ad for grilled white fish, steamed broccoli and a side of brown rice?

So what does truly healthy eating look like?

A healthy meal contains lean protein, fresh vegetables and a modest serving of whole grains.

Just as importantly, a healthy meal does NOT contain:

•Refined sugar / corn syrup
•Fried / fatty food
•Full fat dairy food
•Processed food with chemical additives
Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What you decide to eat when you first wake up will set the tone for the rest of your meals that day. Try these healthy options:

•Scrambled egg whites, sliced tomato and whole grain toast
•Whole grain oatmeal, sliced fruit and a protein shake
•Homemade breakfast sandwich: Multi-grain English muffin with lean turkey slices and egg
Healthy Lunch

It is important to plan your lunch ahead of time in order to avoid turning to a fast food joint or vending machine. Pack your lunch the night before and carry it with you. Try these healthy options:

•Dark baby greens topped with chopped chicken breast and diced tomatoes
•Albacore tuna (packed in water), mixed with finely chopped cucumber over brown rice
•Homemade sandwich: Sprouted grain bread with lean turkey slices, lettuce, tomato and mustard
Healthy Dinner

Dinner is the meal where most people splurge and eat far more calories than they should. Eating at home is the first step in reducing your dinnertime calories. Try these healthy options:

•Grilled white fish, sautéed spinach and whole wheat couscous
•Baked chicken breast, steamed broccoli and brown rice
•Try the recipe for Chicken Quinoa Stir Fry below
While healthy eating is a huge factor in achieving your ideal weight, exercise is the other half of the equation.

Your exercise routine should be challenging and should be done on a regular basis. this last line is so true, it is what I teach ... CONSISTENCY = SUCCESS!

You would be surprised how small changes can add up. When my trainer put me on that diet last year, I stuck with it true and true and got to 113 lbs. This year I struggled!

Why?

I was not consistent, I had too many little cheats in the wrong direction.

Last nights workout Boxing training went great, so well I may be doing a workshop at the Yoga studio. Life is good. Today's workout will be run/walk at lunch and Yoga core after work.

Wacky Workout

My poor little MINI has been "coughing" for a while and today its little check engine light came on.

Enter service = bye bye money

I love my Cooper and it is not like I did not know this was coming I was going to have it serviced this month anyway. However I was heading out of town on Thursday so I thought, better safe then sorry.

Enter BMW Bimmers R Us service center.

Luckily they said they can send someone out to pick up the car for today and hopefully have it back by 5pm in time for me to go home from work.

Todays workout will be a jog around the parking lot at the office, its not fun but it will work. I have headset and shoes beside me at my desk.

Just counting the days till vacation (1 more), going to visit my mom and my sister in from Oklahoma. Tonight is bible study and I hope to get some rest afterwards because I did not sleep well last night.

Ever have a night when you can't sleep then get a song in your head?

Yes from 3am-4:15am this morning I could just keep hearing "everyone sing.......everyone sing" I was like NO everyone SLEEP!

This week is going to be a mish-mash of wacky workouts NO yoga class or P90X completion. I guess I can call this a cardio running week because can't get the rest of my program in.

Here is the workout plan:

Monday - P90X + run = 3.5 miles done
Tuesday - run = 3 miles
Wednesday - P90X (strenght training)
Thursday - P90X
Friday - 0
Saturday - 0
Sunday - P90X + Zumba
Monday - P90X + Gym

This will put me 2 days behind on the completion of the Round 3 but I am certain I can get in the rest on Sunday or Monday.

I added in Ben Greenfields Push-Pull workout here is his link for more info

Some how last night I had a melt down! I just crushed myself because of the stress of getting to my birthday and being behind on my goals. I just had a huge rough patch.

I want so much and feel like I keep focused and driven, but am not getting there fast enough. I even did Darren Hardings 10 year plan and found areas that I was lacking but still did better then I expected.

Here are some things that have been playing with my head about goals and being more successful. I am just venting here....

1.Teach Zumba and Specialize in TRX training, so those certifications are what I am working on. Certification for Zumba is September and hoping for TRX in October. I started BOTH of these 6 years ago.

2. To buy another property to turn into a studio vs renting. Still working on this as you know the Barbie house is too small if you have seen my youtube videos you can tell. (trainertfitness if you want to look me up)

3. Public Speaking on Impressions, Self belief, Motivation and Coaching

4. Get a new mattress and dresser to complete my bedroom. (This is some what a need for my back, but the dresser it can wait)

5. Learn investing. I am still struggling here I just can not get into it. I have great support and websites but I would be more interested in business ventures.

6. Contemplating 1 last competition at age 50. Its been almost 20 years and I don't know that I have it in me again. I still love every aspect but if I can't wrap my head around the nutrition that goes with it, I honestly have to hang it up.

7. The economy has shifted and I need to be ready for that come back, and I don't feel that I have everything in place that I should have. I have many things started but I am not sure that I have got as far as I should or could be.

8. Increase my net worth. I have done some work in this area that is reaping results but I can do better, I know I can. (expenses like surgery and certifications take way from this right now, until I re-coupe that from training clients for now its DEBT)

Today is a new day, a clear day and I will work on re-aligning my goals. I just need to get deep within myself and know it is what I want to go after and then pray for the answers.

So in 3 more days it will be another year that has passed, will that really make a difference? I doubt it, but since each day adds up I need to focus on the next 365!

I'm MELTING The Fat Off!

The good news is that my body fat is going down again! After that (slight) addiction to gelato in California I am getting back on the program.

Jillian did a great job MELTING fat off me today!

I worked up a major sweat with level 2 workout! I enjoy the fast pace and the challenge. [NOPE NOT DOING CROW I want to keep my head]
www.ehow.com/how_2167915_do-yoga-crow-pose-bakasana.html

See why???

Today I warmed up with 50 regular jumping jacks first, and the more I do this workout the more I like it. But if your going to do an aggressive yoga like this right out of bed, I really believe you need more of a warm up then the one she does.

Getting your muscles warm and ready is the key, so things like marching or high knees works well too, along with some arm movements to warm the shoulders. Plus I add a wrist warm up too, things like prayer and wrist circles.

My after workout snack:
1 scoop pb Muscle Milk with 1 c vanilla soy
At the office a fruit bar

Here is my workout and stats today:

Biggest Loser NEW Jacobs Ladder Home Version

OMG I am so excited to say that you have seen the Jacobs Ladder used on the BL show and some gyms have it and its the BOMB!

Now you can get a smaller home version, I just got the email today!
Here is the link:
www.biggestloserladder.com/

It is a manual machine so you work at your own pace. I did this machine 4 or 5 years ago at a fitness convention and thought it would be great for home but its just way too big. (AND IT DID NOT HURT MY BACK OR KNEES which most of you know I have issues there)

This one is $1,000 less and you can make payments on it. Just wanted to share this in case anyone has seen it and wondered about it or how to get it.
(I will be doing an article on this over the weekend because I just love this workout)

STOP Whining Get Busy

The only way things are going to change are if you MAKE them! So I'm on a mission to get busy with some ACTION and not with my mouth...as in whining. Take it to the next level, clean up your eating and push yourself on those last few reps......then it all clicks, it all happens.

Sure its hard!
Sure it sucks!
Sure I may not want to!

Too BAD T.!

It's so easy to stay comfortable and do what we have always done, (hit the snooze not 2 times but 3!) but that does not get change. I think you have to dig deep and find what you really want, set the vision in front of you and go for that vision RELENTLESSLY.

If it was easy, everyone would have it and believe me they DON'T. "You have to do what others won't to get what others don't have."

Can't get that by excuses, whining or without ACTION!

Don't kid yourself, your only making it harder on yourself by not "bucking up" and knowing where your short comings are. You do know, and you know all your weaknesses and temptations and knowing is half the battle. Use that information, and get busy don't whine, OVERCOME!

So April is going to be all about ACTION and I intend on making sure I stick with all the things on the list even when I don't want to. Yeah eating weird stuff, missing my "naners" and smoothies and being sore all the time 24/7.

Too bad, I got myself in this MESS with this muffy top, bad sugar diet eating monster, and I have to get myself out of it and so can you.

Putting on my BIG GIRL PANTIES, ready for ACTION! Last day of the month, MAKE IT COUNT!

Don't Hate Your Trainer

www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=KAREN7360
My Trainer Karen Finch is 56 years old & HAWT!

I'm not hating my trainer, its just like getting a spanking you don't like it but you probably need it right? You know when you have been bad or done wrong and MUST pay. (Do you think she got this body eating junk, NOT!)

Done wrong = FAT!!!

It has been proven you get 30% better results working with a trainer, even all the greats have trainers.

I have been blasting the workouts but have not had as "clean of a diet" as I need to have right now, so its back to the drawing board. My trainer said I have got to lower my calories to reach the goal, and just when I was loving my salads.

Why?

I have been putting sunflower seeds, or walnuts, raisins, apples or strawberries, and all that is going to have to change to more protein less carbs. It's not that I won't be able to have wonderful salads, I just have to change what I am putting in them. (Sniff, sniff).

No more banana smoothies.....they have to go too! (Sniff, sniff).

2 bad things for me, bananas and corn. Well for now anyway they are just too high on the carb list for this carbaholic. Sad, just sad but the sacrifice will be so worth it.

When I get to prance around in my swimsuit on the beach, all the sacrifice which really is not a sacrifice its just looking at food different will be the pay off.

Eat clean = NO FAT!!!

Now just in case your wondering, I have done really well with sugar. The only sweet thing I have had besides fruit has been toffee peanuts, and guess what?

THEY GOT TO GO! (Sniff, sniff)

So I got my spanking and I am back on my feet ready to go to work again on my new eating plan.

Here are my workouts, and I am really challenging myself with the manual stair machine. If I get past 40 floors and 10 minutes next week....I will be MORE then thrilled!!!

How To Get A 6-Pack Abs!

I am keeping a fire under my feet!

This has been one of the hardest things to do, stay in the ZONE day in and out. First thing, IF YOU WANT A GREAT BODY get rid of the TV and negative press. I just don't know how anyone can let that suck your life out of you really!

I was thinking this today, as I heard of a massive crash. I am sad...true, and I have compassion but it won't help me to get down and out about it. I have goals and things to do, and I need all the POSITIVE energy I can muster up!

I'm trying to find my 6-pack abs!

How do you do that EXACTLY?

1. Start with a clean diet - NO sugar, fake stuff or real! And no perservatives or high fats, keep good fats low. This part of it SUCKS!

2. Keep your calories in line - Higher protein macro and lower carb macro. Don't get me wrong here YOU NEED CARBS! Just not the bad ones, stick wtih the clean carbs they are your energy. (I am against the Atkins Diet)

3. Core work - NOT crunches, you need all around core, planks, back extentions, oblique work and incline cardio all great stuff.

4. Keep them sucked in all times - its supports the back and keeps them fired up, and just plain makes you look better. (A trick I have shared for beginners is to tie a thin ribbon around your waist sucked in, each time you relax you will feel it to remind you)

There is no easy way on this, but it can be done ask anyone they will tell you it was all about the diet. What is my biggest challenge?

D-I-E-T!

Sure I can eat salads, chicken and fish but you really have to have more then that for a 6-pack, you need lean mass and totally clean eats. I'm getting better but still a work in progress.

So if your going for the 6-pack, don't get discouraged it takes time to see them "pop" and to keep them. You don't want to build them, you want them flat and ripped. So keep the fire under your feet, and just keep going.......I am. Results may be slow, but they are coming!
