The Battlegrounds Mud Run adds New “Elite Wave”

The Battlegrounds mud run adds new “Elite Wave”
Oh if your tough enough lol........

Newly added is a tough 8 a.m. Elite Wave competition!
According to the  battlegrounds mud run website “The 5 Mile ELITE WAVE is meant to be the most physically challenging experience for our participants with similar abilities. This option is only available at the 8:00 a.m. race time, so be sure to register as we are limited to 250 runners, including both individuals and 4-person teams, who can maintain an 8 minute 30-second mile pace. The ELITE WAVE is meant to be a competitive event. For the purpose of awarding medals we must keep each team at a consistent number (four). We offer start-to-finish chip timing to insure accurate timing for each participant.”

Plus the charity is Backstoppers!

Battlegrounds Mud Run!

The Battlegrounds Mud Run at Cedar Lake was a blast!
If you have never done a mud run this is the one to do!

They have 2 per year, Spring and Fall.....
Just look at the fun ;-)

You can do the 5 full miles, some running and the rest is the course!

Not too messy huh?

I just thought  this was too cool!

You can even metal!

Showers are included and a place to keep your dry clothes......

They have it all down pat, with over 800 that came this past weekend 5/3/14

A bunch were police, and some were military....
The rest just fun athletes and families!!!
Then it was off to the Cedar Lakes winery.

Loved the barn......

The inside was so nice too!

Lots of wine!

The fire place was fabulous!

Plus it was Derby Day from 1.30-5pm!

This home, pretty huh?

I couldn't leave without one glass......
Watching the swans :-)

Such a nice day!

I may have to come back!
